📅 December 205
Bannau Brycheiniog National Park
Day 1 - Friday
We’ll meet at a campsite within Bannau Brycheniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park from 6pm onwards. We’ll go for dinner at a local pub or restaurant, and have a chat about the weekend, get to know each other and check we have all our equipment. We'll sleep at the campsite on Friday night.
Day 2 - Saturday
We'll get up and have breakfast at the campsite before packing up and setting off on our journey. We'll walk for around 6-7 hours including snack stops and photo opportunities, before arriving at our campsite for the night. We'll set up camp, before having dinner - either at a local pub or restaurant, or cooking on stoves.
Day 3 - Sunday
We’ll pack up amp and walk for around 6-7 hours to our end point. We’ll wrap up the day with a chat (and maybe a hot drink!), before heading home.
You will need to get yourself to the start point.
If our journey is point to point and does not return to our start point, we will organise a shuttle from the end point back to the start.
Our accommodation will be camping on campsites. There will be toilets and showers available both nights.
You will need to bring lunches for both days. Dinner on Friday and Saturday will be in a pub or restaurant (note, you will need to pay for your own meal). Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday will be expedition style dehydrated meals.
You don’t need any hillwalking experience to take part in this adventure. However, ideally you will have done several day hikes (either in the hills or in lowland areas). You'll need a good base level of fitness and a positive attitude!
